BSOD--It has happened.

Yep, BSOD has afflicted my dissertation. I backed up my hard drive two months ago, and my most recent backup of my dissertation is about a month or so old. Yes, I can reconstruct, but it will take time--at least a week.

In the meantime, a friend is trying to extract what he can off the dead hard drive. If he can just extract my most recent copy of my dissertation, I will be happy. But things do look pretty grim right now for it.

In the meantime, it is light blogging ahead--in between I will be cycling between uttering "colorful metaphors" and mournful whimpering.

Computers I have concluded are also minions for Satan, erm, Basement Cat.
