Hungarian Sundays
Years back I attended a concert by Koncz Zsusza (Zsuzsa Koncz). She is a popular singer in Hungary. I really enjoyed the concert, her voice, and her music. This was, and always has been my favorite song by her.
A Compilation of My Musings on Various Matters. "Ancora Imparo"--I am still learning.

Very nice! Your non-Hungarian-speaking friends would like to know: what is the song about? :)
Miz Minka,
Sorry, you are right, should have posted a bit of a translation.
The song is about an old king who falls in love with a beautiful girl and wants her for his bride. But the girl refuses and would rather go away than be his bride. He doesn't relent and she keeps refusing. Even when she appears to be ill, she still refuses to be his bride. Eventually she dies, the king is furious about her death, but he has no choice but to accept it.
Koncz Zsuzsa was a popular singer during the communist reign. I have been told that her songs often had hidden political meanings. I am not sure if this was one of them.
