This was my favorite cartoon to watch as a little girl. It always made my day when it aired.

Job Hunting

Given the fact that my contract ends this spring, I have been job hunting. Not a fun activity. Also, given today's economy, I have been job hunting for positions both in my field and out of my field. In other words, if I qualify and it is something I don't mind doing, I am applying. You know, a girl has gotta eat.

At any rate, there is one particular job I am thinking of sending in my resume. Interestingly enough, it is probably the only job in which one of my hobbies actually qualifies me for the job. Also, it is a job in which I would be required to carry a firearm.

Now, I don't have a problem with carrying a firearm, but what I want to know is do I get to pick which firearm to carry? You know, sometimes size matters...

Here is a picture of my foster cat, Grover.

Although he looks sad in the picture, this picture was taken before he was placed in my foster home. At the moment, he is a happy, playful, and well adjusted cat waiting for his forever home.

One of his most endearing traits is that he likes to walk around the house "humming".

Death Row?

I recently read this article that the Dodge Viper may be on death row. Pity. Especially considering that it is a street-race car that could outperform cars in its class costing much more. Yes, it does lack some of the creature comforts, but the car was designed for performance.

Friday Cat Blogging

Kitteh Antics

At the moment I have two foster cats. Those two being Grover and Gumdrop. Sweet cats overall.

Gumdrop recently got into the habit of meowing and scratching at the bathroom door while I take a bath. Well, I quickly got tired of this nonsense and figured if I let her in, she will realize seeing a tub full of water is not fun and she will not want to be in the bathroom. But no, she came in, curled up on the bathroom throw rug and went to sleep. You see, all she wanted was to be near her foster human and did not like having a closed door between us. So, the routine continued and now every time I go to take a bath, she comes right in the bathroom and curls up on the rug or in the sink to nap and be near her foster human.

Grover somehow realized he was missing out on something and wanted in on all this. So, after some scratching at the door, I let him in as well. He decided to sit on the edge of the tub and every so often take his paw and play with the soapy water.

So, now, my bathing routine involves walking into the bathroom (two felines already walking in front of me) and taking a bath with Gumdrop snoozing in the sink (or on the rug) and Grover playing with the water. Every time without fail they stick to this routine.

So much for normalcy. But then again, there is no such thing as normalcy when you share your home with cats...

Friday Cat Blogging

One of my foster cats, Boy got adopted into his new home on New Year's Eve. He started off the new year in his forever home! Boy was an awesome and sweet foster cat. I will miss him, but glad to see that he finally found his new home.

Grover and Gumdrop (my other foster cats) seem to miss him, but no doubt are glad to be out of their adoption cages and back in my foster home.
