Sorry for the lack of blogging--but I have just been simply overwhelmed these days with my Ph.D program (I figured it stands for Persistant Harassment and Depression). Anyhow, I have not forgotten about those two memes that I have been tagged.

Friday Cat Blogging

Every so often I see the following scenario in my home. A solitary paw comes out from under my bed and steals a sock. It has gotten to be a habit when come laundry day, I look under the bed to see what has been stolen.

It is true, I can put my socks away in a basket and not be lazy. I can tie them up in pairs to at least keep them paired. However, the truth of the matter is that this little scenario always seems to amuse me and put a little smile on my face when I see it. Therefore, I let them have their fun knowing that come laundry day, I will be hunting under the bed for my socks.

A lovely trio

The truth be known, I am developing a deeper appreciation for operas. The works of Mozart seem to be sheer perfection and I never seem to grow tired of listening to his various arias. The below post was obviously meant as humor. I would venture to say that even those not fond of Opera would find some of Mozart's arias enchanting.

In this case, here is an absolutely lovely trio from his Opera, Cosi fan tutte.

Artists and Animals

Etsy is a marketplace that sells products made by local artists. My favorite rescue, Rainbow Connection Animal Foundation has been selected as the cause for the month of February.

I ask that you check out the this online place and look through their merchandise. Perhaps you might find something for a loved one? It is never too early to shop for a birthday or even Christmas. Yes, I admit to being one of those people that shop for holidays way before the holiday is even near. This method keeps my budget sane and I confess that I just plain enjoy picking up things for loved ones as I happen to find them. It also keeps me sane through hectic times.

I noticed that the products are reasonably priced. Therefore, even if on a budget you might be able to find something to your liking and pocketbook.

And for those of you that are artistically inclined? Perhaps Etsy could be a place to sell your wares. Income and help animals. What could be better?
