A Hungarian Opera
A few years back, I was privileged to attend a concert to hear this aria from Erkel Ferenc's Bánk bán.
I heard it song by an Opera singer from Hungary who was brought into town for a special performance. The performer sung it in full custume and had a lovely powerful voice as needed for this particular Opera.
The aria moved me to the point where I just could not stop the tears from streaming down my face.
